The qualities or benefits of Akanda tree are discussed. For example:
1. Akanda pulp soaked in cotton relieves toothache and retained in the vagina causes abortion.

2. Applying mustard oil on the straight side of Akanda leaf and heating the leaf slightly on the stomach or straining it stops stomach-biting or stomach-burning.

3. In case of scabies or eczema, mix four times mustard oil with akande gum, heat it and mix raw turmeric juice with this hot oil and rub it on the scabies.

4. If the leg is sprained, hot infusion of this plant leaves relieves the pain.
