আল্লাহর নবীকে তিনি পানি চাইতে দেখলেন। দেখলেন যে, তিনি দাঁড়িয়ে আছেন। তিনি হাত তুলে দোয়া করছেন। তিনি পানি চাচ্ছেন। হাত তুলে চাওয়াটা দাঁড়ানো অবস্থায়। অত্র বিবরণে বোঝা যায় যে, ঈদের মাঠে যেতে হবে, দুই রাকাত সালাত আদায় করতে হবে। চাদর উল্টাতে হবে, কেবলা মুখী হতে হবে, হাত তুলে দোয়া করতে হবে, দাঁড়িয়ে থাকতে হবে। তিনি বলেন, রাসূল সাল্লাল্লাহু সালামকে আরো দেখলাম তিনি তার দুই হাত উঠিয়ে আছেন, মুখের সামনে করে আছেন। হাত দুটি সামনে করে আছে, হাত মাথার উপরে উঠে যেতে পারে, মাথা উঁচু হয়ে আছে। অত্র বিবরণে তিনি স্পষ্ট করতে চান যে হাত দুটি উল্টানো অবস্থায় সামনাসামনি আছে। তবে মাথার উপরে উঠে যায়না যেনো।
আল্লাহর নবীর কাছে অনাবৃষ্টির অভিযোগ করলো। বিস্তারিত বিবরণ আয়েশা (রাঃ) বলেন, জনগণ আল্লাহর নবীর কাছে অনাবৃষ্টির ব্যাপারে অভিযোগ করলো। তিনি বললেন আচ্ছা ঠিক আছে একটা মিম্বরের ব্যবস্থা করো। তার জন্য ঈদের মাঠে মিম্বর নির্মাণ করে রাখা হলো। তিনি তার উপরে গিয়ে বসলেন, উপরে গিয়ে বসে তিনি কিছু প্রশংসা করলেন আল্লাহর। তোমরা আল্লাহর কাছে দোয়া করো, আর তোমাদের সাথে তিনি (আল্লাহ) ওয়াদা করেছেন যে, দোয়া করলে তিনি কবুল করবেন। আল্লাহ আদেশ করেছেন যে, তার কাছে দোয়া করলে তিনি কবুল করবেন, তিনি ওয়াদা করেছেন তিনি ওয়াদা পূরণ করবেন।
