স্ত্রীর কর্তব্য:-
বিয়ের পর যাবতীয় দায়িত্ব স্বামীর কাঁধে বর্তালেও স্ত্রীরও কিছু কর্তব্য রয়েছে। হাদিস শরিফে রাসুলুল্লাহ (সা.) বলেন, ‘নারী যখন পাঁচ ওয়াক্ত নামাজ আদায় করে, রমজান মাসে রোজা রাখে, স্বীয় সতীত্ব ও সম্ভ্রম রক্ষা করে শালীনতা বজায় রেখে চলে এবং স্বামীর আনুগত্য প্রকাশ করে; তখন সে বেহেশতের যেকোনো দরজা দিয়ে ইচ্ছা প্রবেশ করতে পারবে।’ (আবু দাউদ শরিফ)। স্ত্রী হিসেবে স্বামীর দেখভাল করা স্ত্রীর দায়িত্ব। স্বামীর সংসারের দেখাশোনা করা এবং স্বামীর সম্পদ সংরক্ষণ করাও স্ত্রীর অন্যতম দায়িত্ব। আল্লাহ তাআলা বলেন, ‘তবে সৎকর্মশীলা নারী বা সাধ্বী রমণী তাঁরা, যাঁরা অনুগতা এবং লোকচক্ষুর অন্তরালেও তাঁরা তা সংরক্ষণ করেন, যা আল্লাহ হেফাজত করেছেন।’ (সুরা: ৪ নিসা, আয়াত: ৩৪)। আল্লাহ তাআলা বলেন, ‘আর তাঁর নিদর্শনাবলির মধ্যে অন্যতম হলো তিনি তোমাদের মধ্য হতে তোমাদের জন্য সঙ্গী জোড়া সৃষ্টি করেছেন এবং যাতে তোমরা তাদের নিকট প্রশান্তি লাভ করো এবং তোমাদের মাঝে পারস্পরিক ভালোবাসা ও দয়া সৃষ্টি করেছেন। এতে অবশ্যই বহু নিদর্শন রয়েছে চিন্তাশীল সম্প্রদায়ের জন্য।’ (সুরা: ৩০ রুম, আয়াত: ২১)।
সন্তান লালনপালন:-
সন্তানের দায়িত্ব পিতার। তার ভরণপোষণ ও চিকিৎসা ও শিক্ষা যাবতীয় ব্যয়ভারও বাবাই বহন করবেন। মা তাকে দুধ পান করাবেন। যত্ন করে লালন করবেন। কোরআন করিমে এ বিষয়ে বিবৃত হয়েছে, ‘আর জননীগণ যদি চান তাঁদের সন্তানদের দুগ্ধপান পূর্ণ করতে, তবে পূর্ণ দুই বৎসর দুধ পান করাবেন। আর সন্তানের পিতার দায়িত্ব তাদের খাবার ও পোশাক। কোনো ব্যক্তিকে তার সাধ্যের অতীত কার্যভার দেওয়া হয় না। সন্তান দ্বারা জননীর ক্ষতি সাধন বিধেয় নয়; আর বিধেয় নয় সন্তান দ্বারা তার জনকের ক্ষতি সাধন। এবং উত্তরাধিকারীদের ওপরও অনুরূপ দায়িত্ব।’ (সুরা: ২ বাকারা, আয়াত: ২৩৩)।
স্ত্রী হলেন সহধর্মিণী, অর্ধাঙ্গিনী, সন্তানের জননী; তাই স্ত্রী সম্মানের পাত্রী। স্ত্রীর রয়েছে বহুমাত্রিক অধিকার; সঙ্গে সঙ্গে রয়েছে কিছু দায়িত্ব ও কর্তব্য। স্বামী ও স্ত্রী উভয়ে এবং উভয়ের পরিবার প্রত্যেকে নিজ নিজ অধিকারের সীমানা ও কর্তব্যের পরিধি জেনে তা চর্চা করে তাহলে তা সংসারের জন্য মঙ্গলজনক হবে।

After marriage, all the responsibilities are on the shoulders of the husband, but the wife also has some duties. In the Hadith Sharif, Rasulullah (SAW) said, 'When a woman prays five times, fasts in the month of Ramadan, maintains her chastity and modesty, and shows obedience to her husband; Then he will be able to enter heaven through any door he wishes.' (Abu Dawud Sharif). As a wife, it is the wife's responsibility to take care of her husband. Taking care of the husband's family and preserving the husband's wealth is also one of the wife's responsibilities. Allah Ta'ala says, "But the virtuous women are those who are obedient and preserve what Allah has preserved even in the privacy of public eyes." (Sura: 4 Nisa, verse: 34). Allah Ta'ala says, 'And one of His signs is that He has created for you mates from among you, so that you may find peace with them, and He has created mutual love and kindness between you. Indeed, there are many signs in it for the thinking people.' (Surah: 30 Room, Ayah: 21).
Child rearing:-
The father is responsible for the child. The father will also bear all the expenses of his maintenance, treatment and education. Mother will make him drink milk. Take care. It is stated in the Holy Qur'an, "And if mothers want to breastfeed their children, then let them drink milk for two full years." And the child's father is responsible for their food and clothing. No person is given a task beyond his capacity. The child does not harm the mother; And it is not due to the child to harm his father. And a similar duty upon the heirs.' (Surah: 2 Baqarah, verse: 233).
A wife is a consort, concubine, mother of children; So the wife is a bride of honor. A wife has multiple rights; There are also some responsibilities and duties. If both the husband and the wife and the families of both know the limits of their rights and the extent of their duties and practice it, it will be good for the family.
